ESA Members and non-members of the sunglass industry from all over Europe as well as the President of the Sunglass Association of America, Mr. Tibor Gross, reported and discussed facts and and information concerning the wide spread varity  of sunglass related themes, whereby the conference offered plenty of useful information and new ideas for enhancing work on thr European sunglass  market.

For example the lecture "Future Shop `Change of Consumer Society`" performed by Mr. Ulrich Eggert from the Associate Duttweiler Institute, gave a very informative forecast for the rapide change of customer behaviour and the challenges that will arise for sellers in the near future.

Mr. Raimon Ripoll from the Company Deloitte discussed the question "How to manage the Risks related to the Corporate Governance" and showed to the audience some important aspects ans solutions concerning the arisng risks in connection with corporate governance.

"Facts and figures on the American Sunglass Market" were being performed by the President of the Sunglass Association of America (SAA), Mr. Tibor Gross. His clear and detailed information on this market helped to withdraw consequences as well for the European sunglass market.

Mr. Alexander Schröder (IPRO) presented furthermore a new intelligent PMS tool to improve the Supply Chain management that facilates and enhances the technical Supply Chain management in an easy and safe way.

"Technical questions & answers on international sunglass standards, testing houses, worldwide certification process,...", a lecture of Mr. Eric Boinard, the ESA Chariman technical, gave an interesting overview about themes related to the technical side of sunglass industry.

Beyond the discussions of technical trends and standards, the issue of  fashion and design was broached to issue as well. Mrs. Debbie Forstenzer (Edit Consulting) for example, informed the audience via internet live videoconference directly from New York about the latest trend and fashion forecast for sunglasses.

Mr. Fabio Verdelli from the IED Centro Ricerche (CRIED) showed with his lecture "Furniture and fashion design trends: a cross fertilisation" the relation between different kind of design products and the productivity that arises from it. Both lectures gave very interesting impressions and information that surely help to develop fashionable sunglasses with latest quality standards.

Furthermore the lecture "The Art of Chinese Cunning" perfomed by Prof. Harro von Senger (University of Freiburg) provided an insight into the chinese art of cleverness - also a very informative and interesting lecture especially concerning to the growing chinese market and related business relationships with chinese companies...

Also very useful and procreative was the round table discussion "Protection versus Fashion" that not only involved the round table guests, but provoked as well the audience to take part in this interesting and controversial debate.

A further creative element of the Yearly Conference was the Workshop "new ESA projects" that was adressed to all participants of the conference, being developed and realized by Petra Eckhardt. The look into this subject led to a wide range of ideas to be realized by ESA in the future.

All things considered, it can be said that the ESA Yearly Conference in Athens was a great success for all people attending to it!
